Port Augusta

The Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden is well worth a visit if you are in the area, we enjoyed a walk through the more formal landscaped part.

We also walked a little way along the bank of the Spencer Gulf, we saw our first live kangaroo of the trip

and the mangrove forest on the waters edge

On the way out we encountered a handsome lizard, it seemed quite big to us, the white line in the second photo is 5cm wide.

Taken by a nice young man in Lycra who had just taken 9 days to cycle across the Nullarbor Desert on his way from Perth to Brisbane

Knock off a bit to Wollongong and we’ve not got far to go!
