The Chapel

The Millennium Chapel of Peace and Forgiveness, at the National Memorial Arboretum, was dedicated by the Bishop of Lichfield on 2nd November 2000.

A wooden craving in the corner of the chapel represents twelve young figures, with the potential to become apostles, listening to the Storyteller.

SSAFA Memorial

Aguila Wren memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum unveiling took place on 15 May 2010

A memorial to 21 members of the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS) and one nursing sister, who were lost when the SS Aguila was torpedoed in 1941.

The Falklands Task Force Memorial dedicated on 20th May 2012

We visited during renovations to the steps up to the Armed Forces Memorial, there was the inevitable wheelbarrow.
